Why I built this

I still remember how all of this started...

I hopped on my rented bike in Bali, and just when I was about to put the helmet on, I thought:

That sweat and dirt is going to go on my head.

Anyway... I rode off.

But with that smelly helmet on while riding my bike, I kept thinking:

How many people wore this today?

And the more I traveled around Southeast Asia, the more I saw it.

People passing helmets back and forth, especially when you order a ride...

You have no idea who wore that helmet before you, and you don’t want all that sweat and dirt touching your head.

So I built Tirta.

A thin, washable cap designed specifically for anyone who uses a helmet.
